In 2013, the charitable organisation, The Gatsby Foundation, commissioned research into pragmatic actions to improve career guidance across England’s secondary schools. As a result, 8 benchmarks were recommended which identify good practice in career guidance both in general and within a school setting.

The Department for Education brought these benchmarks to prominence within their careers strategy and we strive to meet them.

We work with the Berkshire Careers Hub, part of the Careers & Enterprise Company, to assess our success against the benchmarks and continuously strive for improvement. You can find our results, measured each term, here.
