Uniform

School Uniform

We require all students in Years 7-11 to wear uniform, which is strictly enforced by staff.

Please note that hoodies are not allowed and will be confiscated.

BOYS' UNIFORM GIRLS' UNIFORM

Compulsory branded items: (available from Stevensons)

  • Royal blue Piggott jumper
  • School Tie

Other compulsory items:

The below items do not have to be Piggott branded and can be purchased from any provider.

  • White shirt
  • Black shoes
  • Black trousers: tailored only. Not jeans/jeans material

BOYS' SPORTS KIT

Compulsory Branded Items (Stevensons):

  • Piggott Rugby Shirt 
  • Piggott Polo Shirt - Royal Blue

Other compulsory items: (These do not have to be Piggott branded)

  • PE Shorts - Navy (branded available if preferred)
  • Football Socks - Royal Blue (branded available if preferred)
  • White Socks
  • Training Shoes (any type)
  • Football Boots * (any colour)
  • Shin Pads 

* Football Boots - All pupils will need a pair of moulded stud boots to be able to use the new astro turf.  Conventional football boots with screw in metal studs are not acceptable and will damage the pitch.

Optional Items
Plain Navy or Black Tracksuit bottoms (to be worn at the discretion of the PE Teacher. A recommended purchase if participating in school fixtures)
Mouthguard (strongly recommended by the Rugby Football Union)

  • Piggott Midlayer long sleeve top - Royal Blue

Other compulsory items: (These do not have to be Piggott branded) 

  • PE Shorts - Navy (branded available if preferred)
  • Football Socks - Royal Blue (branded available if preferred)
  • White Socks
  • Football Boots * (any colour)
  • Shin Pads
  • Training shoes (any type)

Year 10 BTEC Dance only

Plain black leggings - only for BTEC Dance Students

The following items are NOT allowed:

Alternative jumpers, cardigans or hoodies.

  • “Fashion” boots, trainers, high heels or canvas pumps
  • Jewellery other than a single stud in each ear. No piercing should be done during term time. If piercing is to be done, this must take place at the start of a long holiday break.
  • Make-up.
  • Extreme hairstyles and colours (to include patterns shaved into hair).

For Health & Safety reasons we do not recommend flat pump or ballet style shoes.

Jackets

Outdoor jackets with hoods are acceptable, but sweatshirts with hoods are not considered part of the school uniform.

Sixth Form Dress Code

Sixth form students are not required to wear formal uniform, but they are expected to dress in a reasonable and smart fashion.
