Uniform

COVID-19 Uniform Amendments:

Please find below temporary amendments to the uniform. These changes are included in the school's COVID-19 response measures and will be reviewed regularly.

FACE MASKS: Please note that students are not required to wear a face mask in school, with the exception of communal areas where they will come into contact with students outside their year group bubble; these being corridors, the canteen and the sixth form common and study rooms as required. Students must bring a face mask to school in the event that they will need to wear their mask.

Please note that school ties are currently not required as part of the uniform.

On days when students have PE, students are allowed to wear their PE kit to school. Piggott tracksuit bottoms should be worn.


School Uniform

We require all students in Years 7-11 to wear uniform, which is strictly enforced by staff.

Please note that hoodies are not allowed and will be confiscated.

Royal blue sweatshirt with House Crest (sold through Stevensons of Reading)

White shirt

School tie (alternative designs for KS3 and KS4 available through Stevensons of Reading)

Black shoes

Black trousers: tailored only, NOT jeans/jeans type material

Royal blue sweatshirt with House crest (sold through Stevensons of Reading) (no cardigans)

Open-necked white blouse
Plain tights, white or black ankle socks

Black low heeled shoes (no boots or canvas pumps)

Black box-pleated skirt (Stevensons of Reading Style No.: 3596)

Black tailored trousers (Stevensons of Reading Style No.: GTB-BLK-S, NOT jeans/jeans type material

* Football Boots - All pupils will need a pair of moulded stud boots to be able to use the new astro turf.  Conventional football boots with screw in metal studs are not acceptable and will damage the pitch.

Piggott Tracksuit bottoms (to be worn at the discretion of the PE Teacher. A recommended purchase if participating in school fixtures)
Piggott Pulse Micro Fleece - Royal Blue

Mouthguard (strongly recommended by the Rugby Football Union)

Piggott black leggings only for BTEC Dance Students in Year 10

The following items are NOT allowed:

  • Alternative jumpers, cardigans or hoodies.
  • Alternative tracksuit bottoms (Piggott labelled only)
  • “Fashion” boots, trainers, high heels or canvas pumps
  • Jewellery other than a single stud in each ear. No piercing should be done during term time. If piercing is to be done, this must take place at the start of a long holiday break.
  • Make-up.
  • Extreme hairstyles and colours (to include patterns shaved into hair).

For Health & Safety reasons we do not recommend flat pump or ballet style shoes.

Jackets

Outdoor jackets with hoods are acceptable, but sweatshirts with hoods are not considered part of the school uniform.

A black fleece with the school crest is available from Stevensons of Reading.

Sixth Form Dress Code

Sixth form students are not required to wear formal uniform, but they are expected to dress in a reasonable and smart fashion.
