Welcome to our Careers Bulletin - your fortnightly round up of all careers related information post-Piggott with opportunities which we will collate for you to easily access as you focus on your future planning.

Financial services talk with Maven

Are you interested in a career in financial services? Would you like to know more about trading the various financial markets?

On Thursday 24th March from 5:00pm - 6:00pm Maven are hosting a talk providing an insight to financial services career industry with both a director and other senior leaders within the business.

Founded in London in 2011 with 10 employees, Maven is a proprietary trading organisation that now has a global presence with over 200 employees across 5 countries. They have offices in London, Hong Kong and New York and will be opening a new Chicago office as part of their plans to expand coverage of derivatives markets.

Maven are currently seeking a number of candidates for their September 2022 Finance Apprenticeship programmes.

What do you hope your future career will look like?

InvestIN are running a competition, inviting you to submit an image depicting your dream career with an accompanying caption. The image can take any form - a photograph, drawing, graphic design, or anything else - as long as it has been created by you and clearly depicts the career of your dreams. Creativity is highly encouraged! The deadline is Friday 8th April and you can enter now.

Oxford Brookes University are holding a host of open days at their Oxford and Swindon campuses.

During these open days you'll get the chance to explore their campuses and take a look at some of their accommodation, speak to staff and students to find out to find out what student life is really like and get inspired about your future through one of their subject talks.

UK University & Apprenticeship Search Virtual Fair

Join the Spring UK University & Apprenticeship Search Virtual Fair on Wednesday 30th March 2022, taking place from 12:00 to 18:00 to explore a wide range of universities, colleges and apprenticeship providers.

This event will allow you to explore all your post-18 options in one place, with a huge range of exhibitors. Universities will include Russell Group, red brick, modern and specialist institutions, as well as colleges and apprenticeship providers. You’ll be able to explore exhibition stands, ask any questions you have, and chat live with admissions officers, student ambassadors, academics and recruitment teams. At this incredible interactive event you can also view virtual campus tours, online prospectuses, and take part in 10 live webinars.

The event is completely free of charge and is for students and parents looking for information about studying in the UK.
