In the pond we found lots of creatures including a great water boatman, a freshwater hog louse and some leeches.

We went into the meadow and woodlands for a mini-beast safari. We were great at catching minibeasts with our nets and even saw a great crested newt!

Overall Year 1 had a fantastic time visiting Dinton Pastures and enjoyed pond–dipping the most!

We learnt a lot about all the different creatures and the Year 1s would like to go back again soon !
