Published 21/07/17The last few weeks have been incredibly busy with lots of activities happening all over the school. We had an action packed Activities Weekend at the end of June with Year 7 visiting Normandy, Year 8 going to Holland and a whole host of activities taking place for all year groups both on and off site. In addition we have also had a very successful Sports Day, a wonderful Summer Music Concert, an extremely impressive Art exhibition, a French Breakfast and the Business Studies Dragon’s Den event. We were also delighted to welcome 150 year 5 students from our feeder primary schools to our annual Language Day and all of Year 12 were put through their paces by local employers as they took part in mock interviews.

Reading and Wokingham Coach Services Update
Published 20/07/17Dear Parents
The school’s finance team have been talking with R&W coaches and have hopefully reached a solution regarding the proposed removal of one of the coach services. Other services are not affected.
R&W are prepared to operate the transport for the winter term and possibly more after if they have 35 minimum paying passengers at £5.00 per day. There will not be any single runs and if children chose not to travel at any time there will be no refunds. The payments will be ten payments of £95.00 per month, first payment to reach their bank by the 1st September.
The route will be slightly amended also:
PIGGOTT X2 Berewood 7:44 Chalfont Way Circle 7:46 Rushey Way / Rosemary Ave 7:47 Beeston Way / Bradmore Way 7:50 Cutbush / Selsey Way 7:51 Littington Close / Chattris Way 7:53 Charshalton Way / Thistleton Way 7:54 Kilnsea Way / Mill Lane 7:57 (Travel via the Bader Way) Colemansmoor Rd / Herald Way 8:04 Crockhamwell Rd 8:06 Woodlands Ave / Bulmershe Pool 8:09 Church Rd / Pitts Lane 8:11 Shepherds Hill Roundabout 8:15 Piggott School 8:25 Piggott School Return Time 15:07 If this is acceptable I would ask you to contact R&W coaches to confirm your intention to travel with them asap and also encourage other parents to do likewise.
Best wishes

The day could not have been more lovely for our school’s annual occasion of sporting triumph! Ms Creswell’s ice lollies, beautiful sunshine and the lush green grass of our school field filled the atmosphere with fun and relaxation for the excited spectators.
