MARWELL ZOO

On Monday 27th June 2016, some of the Year 7 students went to Marwell Zoo.

After we arrived at school, we got on coaches and travelled to the Zoo.

Upon arriving we were given an activity booklet to complete as we went round each of the enclosures.

Our booklets had questions in them which we needed to answer.

We went round each of the animals one by one; we got to see the penguins, tigers, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, meerkats, leopards, monkeys, oryx, flamingos and saki.

All the animals were in enclosures and we all took lots of photographs. My favourite was the giraffes because they were so tall in real life compared to what you see in pictures. In the middle of the day we ate our lunch and explored a playground. In addition to this, we saw the meerkats being fed.

Throughout the day we had lots of opportunities to explore what the zoo had to offer.

At the end of the day we had a chance to go to the gift shop and buy souvenirs

Overall, I enjoyed this trip and I am now more knowledgeable about endangered species and what we can do to help.
